St. Supéry Vineyards Red Bordeaux Blend Napa Valley Élu Meritage 2005
Aromas of plum and black cherry permeate this inky, garnet hued Bordeaux blend. Flavors of smooth vanilla and hints of tobacco are present on the long, full finish. This wine is seamless from the beginning to the last sip; it will age beautifully and develop its flavors in the bottle.

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
This was one of those paradigm shifting wines for me, a wine that solidified my favoritism for New World Bordeaux Blends. Each sip was different than the one previous and all the grapes worked in harmony together. Black plum and black cherry liqueur aromas gave way to cedar and smoke with roasted herbs. The palette was rich and seamless with black fruit, tobacco, dark chocolate and those lovely dusty Rutherford tannins. The finish seemed to last forever. Wines like these also make me think the '05 vintage in Napa was underestimated.
Lots of smokiness to this wine with nice dark fruit in the nose. Has a chalky, dusty character to it with a smoky flavour.
Was hoping for more but still very nice. Red fruit, smoke and hints of leather in the nose. Flavors include spice, sage, a bit of herbaciousness that I like. Good acid and nice long finish.

This Cabernet Sauvignon combines richness and concentration with an incredible sense of elegance and finesse. The layers of cherry, violets, and raspberry with just the right amount of tobacco create a wonderful aroma. Copiously flavored with cassis, currant, cherry and nuances of vanilla this wine becomes more complex with every sip. The finish firms up nicely with ripe round tannins that give it a sweet fruit edge. Drink now through 2015.
