Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

A tasty California Cabernet. Pungent, sweet dark fruits on the nose combine with light oak and full flavors. Hints of chocolate, too. Six years out it's slightly spicy, but I bet it was pretty hot in its youth. I'm going to keep a bottle of this around for next year!

Definitely soft when opened but, given time, it gets really nice. Nice spice and leather in the nose with some plum and casis. Nice spice in the taste with some smoke and then dark fruit. Medium finish and good tannin.

This 100% 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon has voluptuous aromas of plum, cr me de cassis and tobacco. The fruit in the palate is dense with loads of blackberry and ripe black currant. It drinks well now with sizable tannins but has the balance to age for the long haul.

Our own, and select Napa Valley vineyards bred this firmly structured St. Supery Merlot which, with great finesse, integrates generous sweet berry and toasted oak nuances with a full mid-palate and lingering finish.

Wine Tasting NotesThis merlot shows its vibrance and life through its inviting hues of reds and purples. Aromas are elegant with black cherry, blueberry, and subtle oak with a sprinkling of tobacco and anise. The palate is well structured with good width, yet is supple and elegant, offering flavors that linger through to the finish.

Luxurious, rich and concentrated with aromas of cherry, currant and blueberry; these are just the start of this 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon. The harmonious flavors of black cherry, anise and plush cassis explode upon tasting. This is a classic Napa Valley Cabernet which is wonderful young but has everything it needs to age beautifully.

An awesome Merlot, with a dark color layers of blackberry, currants with a lightly toast oak intensity. The flavors pick up momentum showing blackberry, cherry, sage and a hint of creamy mocha. There is an excellent balance, depth and range of flavors in the finish. Enjoy now through 2010.
