Editorial Reviews for St. Supéry Vineyards Chardonnay Napa Valley
Light on the nose with hints of toasted nuts, cocoa, tobacco, mint and vanilla over red currant and plum fruit. This shows off a lovely herbal perfume on entry followed by a nice red currant, raspberry and plum skin mid-palate that’s nicely framed with well-judged oak notes. There's actually quite a bit of peppery spice here on the palate, with layered oak flavors that are well balanced by the fruit, fruit that remains fresh and transparent in the mouth. The oak turns a touch bitter for a moment on the finish, then the fruit returns with a hint of bacon fat and persistent earthy spice. Lean, fresh and elegant, this is balanced for the cellar but already very attractive with a fairly light-handed winemaking style. 93pts

Nice dessert wine. Lychee and citrus nose. Nice acid with a touch of lemon, light body & sweetness and nice finish. Would be good for summer time or spicy food.
Lighter in colour than estate and lighter aromas. Still has that grapefruit character but is creamier in texture and has lychee notes.
strong grapefruit aromas with a crisp acidic tongue to match -- nice finish.
Much more subtle and subdued style than the super fragrant and fruit forward, grassy New Zealand style sauv blancs. It works nicely in this wine. - Tasted at winery 4/20/10
Peaches, tropical fruits and tangerine fill the mouth and it's delicate, not syrupy. Very nice! - Tasted at winery 4/20/10

Like a breath of summer in a glass. There is a wonderful aroma of white peach, apricot pear and slight floral finish. The wine is light and delicate yet full of intense flavors of sweet ripe pear and apricots. This is a perfect aperitif for an afternoon gathering.
The 2008 Moscato brings a purity of stone fruit, peach blossoms and pear to the aroma that is over whelming. On the palate there is a smooth texture, juicy acidity with flavors of peach and pear. It finishes with a hint of floral that goes on and on.
