St. Supéry Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes Plush, complex layers of plum, blackberry and vanilla in the aroma that is deep and persistent. On the palate flavors again show blackberry and are added to with concentrated notes of currents, anise and black cherry. The finishes well proportioned by firm but not over powering tannins. This is a well-balanced wine that will continue to develop for years to come.

Was hoping for more but still very nice. Red fruit, smoke and hints of leather in the nose. Flavors include spice, sage, a bit of herbaciousness that I like. Good acid and nice long finish.

This cab needs a steak! Ripe cassis, blackberry, cedar, oak and toast with some sweet tobacco notes. On the palate, ripe berry, plum and toast with a hint of coffee. - Tasted at winery 4/20/10

Rich plum, black cherry and briar with hints of rose petal. Bright cherry, cassis and the slightest touch of mint. Very nice! - Tasted at winery 4/20/10

This Cabernet Sauvignon combines richness and concentration with an incredible sense of elegance and finesse. The layers of cherry, violets, and raspberry with just the right amount of tobacco create a wonderful aroma. Copiously flavored with cassis, currant, cherry and nuances of vanilla this wine becomes more complex with every sip. The finish firms up nicely with ripe round tannins that give it a sweet fruit edge. Drink now through 2015.

Luxurious, rich and concentrated with aromas of cherry, currant and blueberry. These are just the start of this 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. The harmonious flavors of black cherry, anise and plush cassis
