What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc is another hit in a long history of fabulous white wines from St. Supéry. There is plenty of elegant lime juice, honeysuckle and fresh pineapple in the aroma. On the palate flavors of ruby grapefruit, lime and straw fill out the mouth. This wine is refreshing, lively and persistent.

This brisk slightly pungent intensely varietal Sauvignon Blanc is long on concentrated kiwi-like fruit and its lack of oak allows its very deep fruit to shine through from beginning to end. It is fleshy and beautifully balanced in a rich and always refreshing style and it is just the thing for washing down flavorful shellfish preparations. Try it with the likes of savory crab cakes or classic Oysters Rockefeller. 91pts Conniserurs Guide.

acidic, subtle lime, straw, medium finish. reminds me of a pinot grigio. smells buttery
goes perfectly with pan seared salmon with basil, cumin, onion, and sweet lime.

Muted sauvignon blanc, had a lot of fruit but non of that crisp acidity that I was looking for. Was disappointed that a synthetic cork was used ...
