Food Pairings for St Supery Sauvignon Blanc Napa
Editorial Reviews for St Supery Sauvignon Blanc Napa
This is really marked by a sweet herbal note and flowers on the nose while avoiding much of the grassiness so common with Sauvignon Blanc. There are intriguing hints of anise and white pepper adding some complexity. Round and lush up front with integrated acidity and rather opulent flavors of ripe peach and pineapple that finish with a touch of almost cinnamony spice. Balanced and ripe without losing focus. 89pts
Subdued attack, with heat and spiciness on the release. Pointed citrus tartness with pineapple, lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Feels like it's missing some body, but it brings a few interesting flavors to the senses.
Great balanced wine. Nationally available. Grapefruit and apricot in the nose. Good acid, nice tartness and with a soft finish.
This is a solid wine that seems to be quite common on restaurant menus these days. It is very refreshing, and a great choice on a hot day for an enjoyable citrusy white. To me, the most relevant thing I can say is: "grapefruit."
External Reviews for St Supery Sauvignon Blanc Napa
This wine explodes in the glass with classic flavors of Sauvignon Blanc. Kiwi, grapefruit, and gooseberries lead to an elegant tangerine-infused finish.
Clean yet substantial, this sauvignon stings with the scent of white flowers, the fresh and delicate aroma of narcissus. Then it fills out, the firm green fruit balanced and lasting. The texture is full enough for a beefy pho or parslied pig's trotters.
Extreme passionfruit powers this young sauvignon, a wine that's more New Zealand than Napa Valley at the moment. It's tart and tight, needing six months in bottle to ease into a more gentle balance, when the fruit intensity will work well with grilled seafood.
Aromas jump from the glass with abundant fresh green lime and grapefruit, combined with subtle notes of melon and orange rind. The flavors are full, round and vibrant, textured with the same green lime and grapefruit, and followed by refreshing tones of citrus and crisp acidity.
Delicious stuff, and as bracing as a cold shower. Catches your attention with racy lemon, passion fruit, grass and fig flavors, which linger through a complex, tangy finish. Drink now through 2003.
Rich and concentrated, with ripe honeydew melon, green apple, fig and lime peel flavors. Intensity lingers with bright, tangy citrus character.
Wine Tasting Notes Wonderful aromas of ruby grapefruit, lime juice and honeysuckle join with a vibrant core of grapefruit, hints of pineapple, nectarine and lemon grass. The texture is inviting and supple with enough racy acid to keep it all focused.
