Slightly better is the 2006 Chardonnay North Slope, which displays crushed rock, white currant, and quince notes, a bit of pineapple and poached pear, and some hints of smoky nuts in a full-bodied, evolved, but complex style. This too needs to be drunk soon - 1-2 years. Hazy yellow color. Strikingly complex nose suggests ripe pear, orange, anise and dusty minerals. Juicy and fresh, with admirably restrained citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Reminded me of a suave Puligny-Montrachet. A delicious wine with excellent finishing lift and clarity. ** Only 2 in Stock **

Smith's basic regional Pinot is a very fine wine. It shows the elegant combination of power and subtlety that mark a fine Pinot Noir, and the alcohol level is low. Dry and crisp, the flavors are of cola, raspberries, rosehip tea, licorice and spice. Drink now. - S.H. ** Only 8 in Stock **

Dense and chewy, this is tightly wound, with rich dried currant, mineral, graphite and pepper flavors. Full-bodied and concentrated. The core flavors are intense and persistent, with a long, juicy finish. Best from 2010 through 2017. 250 cases made. -JL (Vinified with 40% whole clusters, and aged on its lees for a full two years in 20% new French oak without sulfuring, racking or stirring) Bright, deep medium ruby; much more lucid than the pinots. Brooding aromas of black fruits, licorice and tarry oak; Im not sure I would have guessed syrah. The palate presents supple dark fruit flavors but only moderate sweetness and limited varietal character. Finishes with dusty tannins that turned drier with aeration, with the wines oak element becoming more pronounced. ** Only 4 in Stock **

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes Refined, rich luscious style with aromas of nectarines, peach and ripe cantaloupe. On the palate, the mouthwatering flavors of peaches and nectarines are completely filled out with a subtle mineral quality. This is a unique bottle of wine to be enjoyed now for its freshness and in the future as it develops in the bottle. 52% Sauvignon Blanc, 48% Semillon
