St. Michael Eppan Sanct Valentin Pinot Nero 2009

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Sweet berry fruit on the nose gains a little smoky edge with a little spicy, tight sandalwood note and a bit of vanilla. Round and lush in the mouth with lots of red cherry fruit, and some herbs and mineral accents. This shows off nice weight and firmness in the mouth though it seems a bit light. The nice, dry finish is firm, slightly spicy and woodsy with red currant and raspberry fruit that drifts off with a wisp of smoke on the finale. 90pts
