St Michael-Eppan Pinot Nero Riserva 2008
Characterised by strength and elegance, this wine is second to none on the international scene. A very special red in every respect – colour, bouquet and taste. Complex and multi-facetted, it features intensive fruity aromas with pleasant vanilla overtones, which are due to its ageing in small oak casks.
St. Michael Eppan, the innovative Winery situated along the Wine Route, is considered one of the best wineries in South Tyrol and Italy. St. Michael Eppan Winery, with its 355 members, 350 hectares of vineyard and 2.5 million bottles sold every year, has become renowned worldwide. The „Sanct Valentin“ label alone is enoughenough to thrill wine lovers and connoisseurs.
Light red color with some soy sauce on the nose and raspberry and cola notes. Drying in the mouth and extremely well-balanced. Really love this.

It took a long time to find a Pinot Nero that's varietally correct and affordable from northern Italy. This comes from the Alto Adige region from a respectable cooperative in Appiano. What we love is the delicate texture and the playful red fruit character on the palate. A bargain in our eyes!
