Food Pairings for St. Francis Wild Oak Merlot
A nice, full bodied merlot.
I have been a big fan of the St. Francis wines for around a year now. The 05 Merlot is fantastic, deep in color and rich in fruit and a hint of chocolate, well balanced with a great finish. The 06 Cabernet is also full, complex with a spicy nose, berries, rich and full on the palate.
Smooth rich taste. Hints of smokey oak. Fruit is rich but not overly so.
Recommended by a friend. We like it as well. Full body, hint of chocolate.
