The entry is light and easy going with an underlay of modest wood tannins adding a touch of texture up front. The fruit is very much in the red end of the spectrum. This is medium bodied with good structure in a soft but not fat style that relies on the wood for both noticeable tannin and spice contributions. the finish is a bit short, but overall this is an easy drinking, easy going style of Merlot. 86pts

Strong nose of berry and earth. Luscious berry and plum with hints of chocolate. Spicy finish with lasting mouth feel. Great for the price.

Rating 85. At first impression full bodied dry red wine with good tannins. After some times I noted more and more the oxidized character on the nose and in the taste, reminicent of Stewed Prunes .This is k for some people but i think it distracts from the wine and cheapens it

Sure, therersquo;s a lot of oak on the nose, but itrsquo;s not unattractive, featuring menthol, cedar and vanilla. The sexy, creamy mouthfeel carries modest black cherry flavors through to the finish, where the flavors revert back to oak all the way. Well made, just heavy-handed with the lumber.
A Merlot with real elegance. This is fully dry, with firm, furry tannins, showing black cherry and currant flavors that are transforming into dried fruits and sweet leather. Could develop for a few more years.
A varietal classic with distinctive Sonoma County style, it has strong black fruit, spicy herb, and vanilla overtones, which give way to full fruit on the palate, nuanced with chocolate. Its round, generous tannins give it a big finish. A wine with exceptional Sonoma fruit and softer tannins, this Merlot marries well with fish prepared with garlic, herbs and other robust flavors.
Tight and compact, with a green edge to the moderately ripe currant and blackberry fruit, and firm tannins. Perhaps time will bring it around. Best from 2003 through 2008.
Blood red with a garnet cast and a slight fade. Well-developed aromas show leathery, spicy, oaky accents. A crisp attack leads a medium-bodied palate with developed earthy tannins. Finishes with spicy complexity.
