Food Pairings for St. Clair Winery Cab-Zin
When it came to creating a smoother, more approachable and lighter style red wine that displays all the great flavors and textures of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel without the bitter tannins or overripe berries, we decided to blend just a little bit unconventionally and it paid off in spades. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and a rose of Zinfandel. The 50/50 blend created a more fruit-expressive wine, without heavy or harsh tannins. Smooth and supple is the best way to describe the drinkability of this wine. Its' soft red rose color captures the light, strawberry, cherry and blackberry fill your mouth, and the finish is smooth and soft.
