What to Expect

Going by many names, Moscato Bianco, Muscat de Frontignan and Muscat Canelli among the most common, this aromatic grape produces wines that are characterized by floral aromas with peach and citrus flavors. Widely used in Italy for lightly sparkling, or Frizzante wines, the most famous of which is Asti Spumante.

Winemakers Notes

The 2006 Muscato is like a breath of summer in a glass. There is a wonderful aroma of white peach,
apricot pear and slight floral finish. The wine is light and delicate yet full of intense flavors of sweet ripe
pear and apricots. This is a perfect aperitif for an afternoon gathering.

Reviews

Clean appearance. Aromas of ripe fruit and florals. Deliciously light, but full of flavor and not overly sweet.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were crushed andpressed into chilled tanks for settling. The clean juice was racked and fermentation was initiated intemperature-controlled storage. A long, cool fermentation allowed for excellent flavor retention. Afterfinal blending, the wine was stabilized and prepared for bottling. The 2006 Muscato is like a breath of summer in a glass. Wine Tasting NotesPerfumed aromas of orchard ripe peaches and stewed apricots. Flavors follow with peaches and apricot, accompanied by notes of cantaloupe and lychees, with ripe density and balanced acidity. Our 'tropical fruit basket' in a glass!
