Food Pairings for St Amour-Henry Fessy
A rather pricey number from M. Fessy - at least here in British Columbia, Canada - but well worth a try. It's hard not to like the light, soft aroma of stewed red berries from this wine. Good color and reasonably deep rim. On entry, we get some residual tannin - though velvet in texture. Sweet plum, tropical fruit and some banana overtones flow down with relatively smooth regularity. Not a bad wine at all given some of the negative buzz I read. I expect the 2009 will be somewhat better.
