Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2012
Spy Valley is the name the locals call the Waihopai Valley, because of the large communications monitoring complex located amongst the vineyards. There is nothing secretive about Spy Valley wines though. This sauvignon blanc has really generous fruit and an excellent texture, which is balanced nicely with the pungent passionfruit and grapefruit bouquet. Another delicious sauvignon blanc from the classic Marlborough region.
Spy Valley Wines, one of Marlborough's leading family owned wine companies. Comprising ten varieties of grapes over 380 acres of estate vineyards, a modern fully integrated winemaking facility and a passion for excellence, Spy Valley consistently produces globally acclaimed award winning wines.

Pale, bright yellow-green. Cool aromas of lime peel, grapefruit, dusty stone, fresh herbs and pepper. Juicy and moderately intense, with a peppery quality to the soft citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Some unabsorbed CO2 gives the wine a brisk impression today. Finishes with a slightly raw, tart-edged note of white grapefruit but also a hint of sweetness. A good effort for the vintage.
Pale straw in color. Classic Marlborough aromas of grapefruit, elderflower and a fusion of tropical fruits. Crisp and fine with a silken mouthfeel. Pure fruit flavors persist through a dry finish. Pair with roasted chicken, light pasta dishes or Manchego cheese.
