Spruce Goose Pinot Noir 2006

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

Light, bright red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with dried rose and brown spices adding complexity. Tangy red fruit flavors display more energy and focus than the Reserve bottling. The finish repeats the cherry note and lingers with good spicy persistence.

A featured wine at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in Oregon, where the original ldquo;Spruce Gooserdquo; (a mammoth wooden ldquo;flying boatrdquo; built by Howard Hughes during World War II) is on display. Also looming large is the quality of this honest little Pinot. Spice, dark plum and cherry flavors swirl on the palate, creating a warm, savory impression.
