Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
97 points Robert Parker: This historic estate has been on a qualitative tear of late, and their 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is, once again, the 'Chateau Margaux of Napa Valley.' Beautiful black currant and spring flower aromas jump from the glass of this dark opaque ruby/purple-colored beauty. With gorgeous texture, stunning purity, elegance and equilibrium, with nothing out of place, this is another tour de force from Spottswoode. Despite its current accessibility, it has 15-20 years of longevity ahead of it. It is a glorious wine! (Apr 2014)

Full ruby-red color. Very ripe aromas of cassis, minerals, bitter chocolate, graphite, cedar and menthol. Sweet, lush and fruity; quite fat for a Spottswoode cabernet. A bit youthfully disjointed today but then this has not yet recovered from the bot... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2004 Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon 1500ml
The 1,850-case cuvee of 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (97.3% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc) boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as a beautiful nose of lead pencil shavings, violets, blueberries, and black currants. It builds incrementally on the palate with superb purity, medium to full body, sweet tannin, and a long, 40+ second finish. This beauty can be drunk now or cellared for two decades.
