Sparkling Shiraz NV

Winemaker's Notes:

This has been the biggest selling sparkling red at Booze Brothers for the last two summers. This is partly due to the price but it is also clear that the ripe fruit sweetness and red fruit flavours are just right for the price.

Vintage rating: NV Predicted year : NA. At first smell you notice fresh cherries and concord grapes. As a medium bodied red sparkler, made from Shiraz, I expected something heavier and I found it lacks spice in the mouth. On top of the cherry and concord grapes, this concoction tastes of prune juice. Although it's acidity and sparkling is quite refreshing, the bitter ending, although I found it lacked tannins, is a bit disappointing. More spice would probably help balance out the bitterness. Instead, get your hand on Chandon's red sparkling wine.
