Souverain Petite Sirah Alexander Valley 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Nearly black in color, this Petite Sirah is not for the faint of heart; it is to wine what espresso is to coffee. True to varietal character, and voluptuous in nature, the 2003 Alexander Valley Petite Sirah brings forward aromas of dark fruit with a back note of cedar and spice and a mouth-coating verve. It boasts subtle undertones of toast, mint and brown sugar that linger through the mid-palate. Complex brown spices of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon combine with chewy yet ripe tannins to create a long and lingering finish.
