What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

A tight, complex wine with a classic minerality and length, balancing the ripe fruit. A compelling blend of Old and New World styles lifted fruit aromas and mineraliness on the palate.

Reviews

Made in a highly reductive way in order to preserve the best of the fruit personality of the vintage, the2006 shows riper characteristics, while maintaining the typical Southern Right balance of Old Worldminerality and length with New World palate coverage and body. 2006 is a wine that favors originexpressive individuality and palate complexity ahead of pure, pungent varietal aroma.

A clean nose of white grapefruit and an underlying chalk note. This wine is very bracing and very electric. On the palate: High acid, bright white grapefruit flavors, very complex, very lively. That chalk characteristic comes through again on the palate and lasts very long into the finish. There is nothing rich about this wine. It's all laserlike focus and length. It is amazing for it's intesity.

Love this with shrimp cocktail and oysters on the half shell - - - tiny but lovely dinner! I discovered it in Myrtle Beach when the restaurant ran out of Oyster Bay, and it was enjoyably crisper, so a welcomed substitute.
