Soussans Margaux 2009
What sets this wine apart from so many others in the communie is the majestic Merlot. It forms nearly half of the blend. Vigneronne Christelle Sorge ferments her Merlot and Cabernet separately in cement vats and then marries the two in casks averaging four years of age. The 2009 is everything you could want it to be. The color pulses with purple, the perfume suggests spring fruit blossoms and the taste is of a time gone by...fruit and only fruit, not wood, heavy tannin or glycerin. Yes, Château Soussans 2009 is fruit forward and irresistible to drink.
