The nose detects a strong cherry aroma that is a little candied with some leather component mixed in. The taste takes off from there with an added spicy sensation and a great mouthfeel.

So pretty! This red blend has a lovely bouquet that starts our with red plum and black pepper. The longer you inhale, the more beautiful things you get including brown sugar and anise. I don't even want to drink it, just sit here and smell it all day. On your palate it starts out with some lovely red plum and raspberry notes, but this is where it turns into red wine. The oakiness of it's barrel time comes through on the mid palate and though I like it, it's almost an indecisive hint of oak, with no accompanying vanilla or cream to soften it. The nice tannins round it a bit and I'm taken back to thoughts of brown sugar covered berries.

This wine is a fine offering from SOURCE-NAPA. This wine smells exactly like cherry habanero pepper jelly, mostly fruit with a nostril-tingling spice. It certainly loses the spice once you taste it, with a smoky and oaky flavor mingling with the cherry and cola flavors. The finish is... I don't want to say nondescript, but it ALMOST undoes all the good that the nose and the flavors accomplished, like a relationship that ended on bad terms. Overall, however, the good memories win out and I have quite fond feelings about this wine.

This wine was a pleasant surprise. I would have liked to have been a part of the blending trials just to see what a bit more petit verdot and a little less merlot would have produced. Overall I liked this wine, but would like to see it priced below $30.
