Food Pairings for Sori Tildin
First time tasting wine from Madrid and really enjoyed this one.
Fascinating aromas - raspberries and blackberries pouring forth on the nose with a hint of spices and tobacco. Full bodied with feminine silky, round tannins, an encapsulating finish of exceptional length. One of the best Barbarescos I've ever tried. Give it another 5 years.
Tight, unremarkable. No detailed notes, but if you own it . . . put it down for a few years and hope for the best. Given the source good things will likely happen.
11/02/07 - extremely costly if purchased today - our wine group purchased years ago - however, opened to soon - decantered - and sat for 90 minutes before tasting never brought out the flavors of the wine - however, we can say we tasted the wine - h/b
WOTN. Superconcentrated, but smooth and balanced; ripe, cassis, dark red fruit, saddle leather. Unquestionably my favorite.
was the first bottle i ever stole from my fathers liquor cabinet 15 years ago, and ill tell u im still hearing about it!! ive had 1 glass since at my brothers graduation and hes still saving a bottle for my wedding day. its amazing, huge, you can almost hear the different notes of it with each sip.... to die for!

Color: Deep purple. Aroma: Complex aromas of toast, minerals, sour cherries, cedar and spices. Taste: Displays the roundest tasting profile of all Gaja single-vineyard wines. The rich body, subtle texture and fine, ripe tannins are typical for this wine of great finesse, the quintessential expression of the land and the Nebbiolo grape. This wine has extraordinary aging potential--more than forty years in outstanding vintages. Aging: 12 months in barrels followed by 12 months in large oak casks
