Robert Parker gave a 91 to Sonoma Vineyards Chardonnay Russian River 2006 $20 for CA wines under $25 category. In my local Forest Hills, NY wine store on Austin St., I found a bottle of Sonoma Vineyards Chardonnay 2006 that has a picture of the RR in Sonoma County on its label and in the back a label saying its unoaked. It described the wine as fresh, juicy ripe fruit like pineapple and pears, citrus and apricot, with lively layers. Leaving out the hyperbole and sexual aspects, my wife and I found it super delicious. I will buy it again if I can find it, but I bought the last bottle in the store. I will be looking for the Sonoma Vineyards label in the future and buying anything they produce under $20. I love good wine, but no wine I have ever drunk is worth $100 a bottle. This just MHO since i know i can't control supply and demand.
