Sonoma Cutrer Sonoma Coast Chardonnay Vns
Winemaker's Notes:
Flavors of lemon, apple, pear, pineapple and cantaloupe, Sonoma's full cornucopia of fruit, join a nutty, spicy, lightly oaky profile. Fermented in oak and undergoing complete malolactic fermentation, the wine shows a mature influence by older vines and promises to evolve over time, bringing joy to both winemaker and those lucky enough to savor a glass. Pairing tip: A great complement to poultry, shellfish and vegetables. Ideal with goat cheese or sheeps' milk cheese.

When you think of Sonoma Cutrer Vineyards, think of Chardonnay. Not just because they make award-winning Chardonnay, year after year, but because it’s a part of who they are. Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards was founded as solely a vineyard in 1973, but in 1981 they took the first step to making themselves truly famous: they built a winery. Not just any winery - founder Brice Cutrer Jones met with many knowledgeable winemakers of the time and came to a conclusion: the winery should focus ONLY on Chardonnay. This allowed the winemaker, Bill Bonetti, to focus all of his attention to perfecting one thing, boosting the quality of its wine dramatically. It wasn’t until 1992 that the winery acquired Pinot Noir cuttings and started branching out, still only with a total of two wines. Today, Michael Schroeter, current winemaking director of Sonoma Cutrer, continues to craft award-winning wines.
