Food Pairings for Sonoma Cutrer Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Pineapple and butterscotch...but more fruit then cream.
Nose of pineapple preserves on freshly baked and buttered baguette. Some hints of smoky peach. Rich and creamy on the palate. Flavors of honeysuckle, tropical fruit salad, dashes of créme bruleé and some stony fruits. Lingering smoky, creamy finish. It hangs on nicely.

Soft, flavorful, straightforward Chardonnay that displays mellow citrus and peach fruit, subtle spiciness, and a nice acid balance. Pleasant to drink, though lacks grip and depth compared to the better Chardonnays
A bit over rated and a bit over priced. Other than that it was fine. I am just a bit tired of Cali wines just a few dollars over priced.
I like this chard a lot. It consistently brings the flavor and depth that makes it a perfect wine for many occasions. Drinking with food it has a great citrus acidity to cut through and support heavy cream sauces and cheeses, yet by itself you get a great vanilla honey-oak flavor. Croud pleaser.
Nice and buttery. Not too overpowering. Clean finish.
External Reviews for Sonoma Cutrer Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Rating: 84/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. If somewhat citrusy and stiff, this awkward, underfilled offering is starting to fade and has gained suggestions of cider standing in for defined Chardonnay fruit. Dry, a bit hard in feel and in want of deeper, more vital fruit at the finish, it has gone past its best and needs drinking now.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. From its mildly vanillin, slightly developed aromas to its rounded and somewhat low-energy flavors, this bottling is marked by a certain lack of drive, and, while fruity, is never especially bright. It lets a little heat peek though at the finish, and the time for its drinking is nigh.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. On the tart side, trim and compact, displaying lemony citrus and minerally green flavors that give this a mouthwatering quality. Best from 2011 through 2014.
A solid, direct Chardonnay. Doesn't offer a whole lot of complexity, but it's dry and creamy, with spicy, oak-inspired pineapple and green apple flavors.
You can feel and taste the cool weather during this vintage in the citrusy acids, steely minerals and sleek, streamlined flavors of Meyer lemons and nectarines. Barrel fermentation adds needed richness. Good price for a dry, sophisticated Chardonnay.
"Distinct aromas of ginger and lemon zest are joined by toasty coconut, melon and caramel alongside a mineral, flinty cedar chest oakiness overlaid by notes of honeysuckle. Well-balanced with a solid acid backbone, the wine is rich and medium-heavy with a broad, yet firm, mid-palate. The long, lingering finish displays a touch of spice and lively acidity. Flavors of lemon, apple, pear, pineapple and cantaloupe, Sonoma's full cornucopia of fruit, join a nutty, spicy, lightly oaky profile. Fermented in oak and undergoing complete malolactic fermentation, the wine shows a mature influence by older vines and promises to evolve over time, bringing joy to both winemaker and those lucky enough to savor a glass." -Winery
