Rating: 86/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. There is no scarcity of caramelly oak to be found here nor is the wine entirely dry, but despite its deep bow to sweetness, this one remains nicely fixed on fundamental Chardonnay fruit. It is, however, fairly frontal and it pulls up just a bit short at the finish. It holds nothing back at this point, and we suspect that it is a wine that will be best enjoyed while still in its energetic youth.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. Having a bit of residual is no unpardonable sin, but those who believe so may quibble here since the wine backs up its juicy and generous fruit with a palpable touch of evident sweetness. It also exhibits good depth and lots of complexing oak spice, and it is supported by adequate acidity. Like its cellarmate, it is all about now, and we would tag it for drinking within the next year or two.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
