A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2010 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas Blanc 750ml
The just-bottled 2010 Cotes de Tablas Blanc is quite a bit fresher and more nuanced than the 2009. Bright, citrus white fruit, flowers and minerals come together beautifully in this polished, vibrant white. In 2010 the blend is 54% Viognier, 30% Gren... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Bright and fruity with a floral character of gardenias and dried mangos. Full yet balanced and crisp. Loads of flavor. 54% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 8% Marsanne, and 8% Roussane. Screwcap. Drink now. James Suckling. A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2010 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas Blanc 750ml
The grapes for this rosé come from vines that were originally imported from the famed Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard, Château de Beaucastel and are now certified organic. This is a blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Counoise and is made in limited quantities. A nose of watermelon, mineral and plum explodes from the glass followed with bright cherry, finishing with lime and tangarine on the palate. Pair it with Mediterranean cuisine, Spanish tapas, preparations with garlic and olive oil... or just enjoy it outside on a sunny day.
According to Antonio Galloni - there is little question the 2010 is one of the greatest - if not the single greatest - Solaia ever made.
The Tablas Creek Vineyard Côtes de Tablas Blanc is a blend of four estate-grown white Rhône varietals: Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne. The wine, like most wines of the Southern Rhône, is a blend of varietals, featuring the floral aromatics and stone fruit of Viognier, the crisp acids and rich mouthfeel of Grenache Blanc, and the structure and minerality of Marsanne and Roussanne. The 2010 Côtes de Tablas Blanc features a serious nose, minty with stone fruits and honeydew lurking underneath. The mouth is broad and rich, peaches and cream, but dry, with a very long finish with a hint of tannin reminiscent of red apple skins, cream, and rocks, nicely saline at the end. Matches: Mussels Marinière, Green salads with avocado and citrus dressing, Scallops, Ceviche, Light fish (halibut, sole) with tropical salsa.
