Sogrape Alentejo Callabriga Reserva 2004

Member Review by gabriellaopaz:

Dark clear red color leading to a clear rim. Delicious nose reminding me of baked red fruit pies from MN. Dark red fruit custard, lavender, blueberry, cinnamon, strawberry and milk chocolate with just a touch of rhubarb on the nose. A little tight when first opened, but you can forecast an array of forest berry flavors, spices and dark flowers. Extremely silky and sensual with medium acidity and fine tannins. This seems like a camping wine to me, perfect with a roaring fire, baked black beans and the sound of loons in background. Highly recommended.
