Soda Creek Ranch Olive Oil 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Silverados Soda Creek Ranch 2007 Olive Oil was again a gold medal winner in recent competion - Best of Class. Both maturity and youthfulness are pivotal factors in olive oil. The age of the trees is important; those at least 10 years old produce oils that are bit smoother, rounder, and more balanced. Some California olive oils may seem somewhat tannic, peppery, sharper, and fruitier than European oils, due to the age of the trees. Our Soda Creek Ranch is blessed with trees planted over 100 years ago, varities of Mission, Picholine, Santagetese, and Manzanillo.

They express richness, elegance and age-worthiness. Silverado wines are unique - one-of-a-kind blends of location, philosophy and winemaking style. The Mediterranean-style stone winery, established in 1981, stands on a knoll above the Silverado Trail in the heart of the Stags Leap District. Silverado is a legendary name from the early mining days. Today it symbolizes the Miller family’s long term commitment to the future of Napa Valley wine. Read less
