1993 vintage in cellar
Big fruit bite
Two and a half glasses
This is a dark zin with an ample amount of fruit. The nose has a bit of over ripe character in addition to the black cherry and raspberry. In the mouth it has a slightly sweet impression but it does not have a lot of complexity. I'm a bit surprised to see the Calif appellation VS the Amador one. My rating--- 88
Full bodied, bold and powerful fruity wine.14.5% alc level, so I thought it was a little light on the fruity body to hold up to the alc%. I enjoyed it though for the price. Great zin.
peppery, black fruit, currant aromas. spiciness and currant notes on the palate, some oak, a combination of vanilla and milk chocolate, nice complexity
This wine is bright, fresh, hedonistic, and YUMMY. The nose has loads of red fruit and berry flavors with a healthy dose of vanilla. It is the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of Zinfandels. For this variety it does not deliver tannically, but is nevertheless smooth and well-balanced on the palate.

Natural winemaking is the vintnerrsquo;s goal, with special care given to every barrel and every bottle. This fruit-driven Zinfandel is deep purple in color. Ripe blackberries, blueberries and black cherries are prominent on the palate. Medium bodied, the wine has structure and mellow tannins. Serve with grilled blue cheese and bacon burgers.
A nice Amador County Zinfandel the Hillside is a throttled-back version of Sobon’s single-vineyard and old-vine bottlings; fine ripe flavors of blackberry blueberry and boysenberry with a hint of cherry and cranberry on the pleasingly tart finish; a good match with a variety of foods.

A rich example of Amador Zinfandel style, this wine is a perfect match for rich sauces, roasts, steak and aged, full-flavored cheese.
It has aromas and flavors reminiscent of blackberries, cocoa and dark cherries.
A super bang for the buck, this is brimming with intense mountain blackberry fruit. Itandrsquo;s soft, with supple tannins and a long, cocoa-laced finish. Stock up on this for your next outdoor barbecue.
Deep and concentrated, showing loads of earth, spice and meaty flavors alongside luscious raspberry and blueberry fruit.
