Sobon Estate Zinfandel Amador County Cougar Hill 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

This is a very stylish and likable wine. It has forward aromas of fresh baked oatmeal cookies, with undertones of licorice and mint chocolate. The flavors are rich, full, and reminiscent of ripe, dusty blackberries and cranberry juice. The finish is crisp and lingering.

This has been my go to BBQ zin for some time. Spicy and rich with lots of silky jammy black, briary fruit and black pepper. A true old vine zin for under $15!
