Soave Classico DOC Zenato Veneto Italië Wit Zenato Garganega Trebbiano 2007

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

The 2007 Lugana reveals a delicate expression of ripe peaches, mint and sage, with lovely balance and poise. The indigenous Trebbiano di Lugana is especially aromatic here, where it is grown on the shores of Lake Garda. Anticipated maturity: 2008ndash;2009.

A soft white wine that's full of white plums, raw honey and exotic fruits like pineapple on the palate. It's a dry wine, but it shows plenty of upfront fruit, making it great either before a meal or with a variety of foods.

The 2009 Lugana San Benedetto stands out for its richly textured fruit, expressive aromatics and crisp, refreshing finish. The San Benedetto is made from estate owned fruit grown on the shores of Lake Garda. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.

Has a delicate floral and mineral nose, offering orange blossom, fresh earth and a lemon peel base. Medium-bodied, with balanced acidity keeping everything fresh and clean. Long citrus aftertaste. Drink now.

Straw colored with a floral bouquet that hints of orange blossom. On the palate, the wine is dry with balanced acidity and a slight and pleasantly bitterish finish. Recommended with light pasta and fish preparations. A favorite in the Veneto with trout in a sautéed onion sauce.
