Classic Vintage Ports are only declared in exceptional years when conditions have been perfect and wines of outstanding quality are produced. Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port is made exclusively from one harvest at our vineyards in the Rio Torto, one of the finest vineyard areas in the Douro Valley. Following 2 years in oak, we transfer the wine unfiltered to bottle, where it can mature for decades. It is during this long bottle ageing that the young wine is transformed into a magnificent Vintage Port. Shared with family or friends at special occasions, celebrations and parties, Vintage Port makes the moment memorable.
