Small Gully Gsm Mr Black's Concoction 2004

Member Review by WineFlair:

An inspired Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre (GSM) from a country that produces a lot of thin, uninspired wine in this combination. Spicy black cherry and blackberry, nicely structured and rich but balanced. Seeing little oak, this wine is absent the sweet, unctuous and unpleasant nature that often plagues Aussie Shirazes. Nicely done.

This one REALLY surprised me. I usually don't like a blend this much, but I could drink this wine as a stand alone or with about any dark white or red meat around. Simply amazing and for under $20 it is now a staple at my house. We will have to see how it ages.

I really like the layers this wine offers. Delish.
