Produced by the SLATE Distilling Co. in Chicago- SLATE Blended Bourbon is made by a method known as precision distillation in which the master read more...distiller has the advantage of computer-controlled technology to constantly monitor the process and distil the spirit exactly the way he wants. Copper columns and doublers are used to produce a high quality distillate- and computers enable the equilibrium at each plate to be checked and controlled every second. This precise distillation of the heart of the spirit lends strength- while blending lends smoothness. After careful aging in charred new American white oak barrels- the final bourbon has a smooth oak character highlighted by vanilla and dried raisin top notes. Elegant and sophisticated on the nose with tempting promises of oak- vanilla- honey and a medley of chocolate- the palate delivers accordingly.
