Skouras Zoe White 2013

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

A blend of roditis with the floral moschofilero, this strikes a refreshing balance of bright citrus flavor and delicate blossom scents. It lasts, vivacious and thirst quenching.

The 2013 Zoe white is a 60-40 blend of Roditis and Moschofilero. This is Skouras’ entry-level white and it is often quite a nice bargain. So, too, this year. Fresh and fruity, not meant to be profound, it still projects nice acidity and a clean, pure finish. It is awfully tasty if you like those fresh, un-oaked styles. It should be a picnic favorite and great porch sipper in warm weather. As I like to say about wines like this, drink it young and fresh, because however long it theoretically lasts — it might well hold better than I think — being fresh and lively is what this does best and that's why you buy it. Drink now–2016.

Offers a spicy aroma, with fresh flavors of green apple and grapefruit that feature notes of white pepper. Accents of citrus zest emerge on the finish. Roditis and Moscofilero. Drink now. 12,000 cases made.
