Skouras Zoe Peloponnese 2008

Member Review by Wendy Crispell:

Deliciously complex rose with hints of white cherry, strawberry and rose petal. Simply wonderful with crisp summer salads dressed with fresh strawberries and goat cheese, endive with beets/walnuts and goat cheese. My favorite pairing is watermelon, cucumber and manouri cheese salad drizzled with evoo and garnished with pink salt, fresh pepper and chopped chives! 1 cup 1 inch cubes of seedless watermelon, 1 cup small cubes peeled, seedless cucumbers, around 1/2 inch square, 1/2 cup 1/2 square cubes manouri cheese, 3 chopped chives, small fine pieces, Lightly toss with 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil and chill for 1 hour. Garnish with sprinkle of salt and pepper

This pretty, medium-cranberry-colored rose from Domaine Skouras in Greece?s Pelopponese is lively but not flimsy?it features earthy, mouthwatering flavors of raspberry and spice, set aloft by playful acid and citrus undertones. Like many of Greece?s affordable white and rose wines, this quaff is food-friendly and refreshing?perfect for a warm-weather lounge and paired with nearly every dish imaginable. Think a pasta with spicy red sauce or a more delicate seafood entree. Imported by Diamond Importers Inc.
