Six Bottles of Elderton Command Shiraz 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

2008 was a hot summer and one of the earliest vintages on record. The 2008 Command shows exceptional fruit weight, with more time French oak than in the past. It will be a long lived wine!

This is a sophisticated interpretation of what Barossa can be while still hewing to the richness that is typical of region s style. There s a soft finish hardly any tannin and the most deft acid levels to provide some elegance. Showing creamy textures with soft edges the finish showcases some lingering fruit on narrow tail that fades gently. A well made elegant soft edged shiraz that has juiciness without broad thick textures. Chuck Hayward.
