Pale gold. Exotically perfumed bouquet of citrus and orchard fruit aromas, along with salty minerals, pungent herbs and white pepper. Sharply focused lemon, lime and pink grapefruit flavors are impressively concentrated and pure, with bright mineral snap on the back end. The long finish boasts outstanding clarity and cut. These vines, reportedly between 70 and 100 years old, are planted on 30 meters of chalk.
The 2008 Con Class is 80% Verdejo, 10% Viura, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc aged on its lees in stainless steel. The Verdejo was sourced from organically farmed vines ranging in age from 60-100 years. Aromas of baking spices, melon and citrus are enticing. This leads to a ripe, tasty, balanced wine that will provide pleasure over the next 12-18 months
Pale yellow. Smoky aromas of tangerine, herbs and minerals. Very dry Rueda wine, offering finely etched citrus and mineral flavors deepened by the smoky quality. Shows good complexity and depth, especially for the price point, and finishes with strong cut and lingering citrus notes.
The organically grown and produced 2008 Con Class Verdejo is sourced from 70- and 100-year-old Verdejo vines. Light straw-colored with attractive mineral, floral and tropical aromas, on the palate it is vibrant, concentrated, and long. Drink this tasty Verdejo over the next two years.
