Sirius Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Contrôlée 2006
Named after the brightest star in the universe, Sirius is a regular medal winner in international competitions. Made at Sichel's state-of-the-art Cave Bel-Air winery, Sirius is made from grapes sourced from Sichel's long standing partner growers, who are briefed to select only the best grapes under strict selection criteria. The aim is to make an up-front fruity, refreshing wine with no pretensions other than to provide a very enjoyable, uncomplicated glass of wine.
A really fantastic wine full of body and complexity. Was only able to have a glass of it at the Paris Commune in NYC, but I'll be back for more!
Excellent Bordeaux for the price! Lots of musky terroir coming through on this one. This is an "every day drinker" Bordeaux.
