Sinskey Vin Gris Pinot Noir Usa Rose 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Pastel pink color touched by a bit of orange tempts the eye. Aromas of wild strawberry and lime mingle with just a hint of sweet herbs. Those berries burst on the palate joined by zesty but puckerless notes of cranberry and the part of a watermelon just beneath the pink fruit. There’s a delicious savory note as well that reminds you that this is Pinot Noir. The wine is notably rich in the mouth, but with its ample cut it provides the sort of extreme refreshment that makes the urge to guzzle it all down tough to resist.

To taste an RSV wine at home or in a restaurant is a good thing; however, to experience a flight of RSV wines, in the place they were made, can be a very enlightening experience. Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for it, come see it yourself. Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for it, come see it yourself. Great wine is about good food and good people. You will find all that and more at RSV. Requests for tours are tentative until confirmed via email or phone. Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Using biodynamic methods, Sinskey has produced a fabulous rosé from Pinot Noir grapes. Silky, elegant, and complex, with fine, feathery minerals from that rich California dirt.

The cherries burst red, ripe and zingy on the palate, the tea persists, as does the earthiness, all joined by a touch of clove and vanilla. The flavors live on a silken sensual texture brought into balance by invigorating brightness.
