Simonsig Chenin Blanc Stellenbosch 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

The full-bodied wine has a bright golden straw color, with aromas of ripe pear and honey leaping out of the glass. Layers of complex fruit fill the pallet with a rich and crisp aftertaste. A perfect balance of fruit, acidity and sugar makes the wine very elegant, with soft, smooth tannins and voluptuous, ripe flavors.

Great summer sipper. Light and effervescent. Almost like a vinho verde. Some nice honey covered pears. Drink extremely cold. Great as just an apertif.

Helles, klares Grünlichgelb. Saubere, feine Aromatik nach frisch gepflückten Wiesenblumen weisser Pfirsich und Zitrus. Feine Säurestruktur, viel Rasse und Eleganz.

Aromas of sunripend yellow apples and pears. Tactile subtle, sweet dried apricots and honey are perfectly balanced by a subtle mineral finish.
