The concentrated fruit and well-balanced, integrated oak forms a tightly knitted, full-bodied structure which will develop beautifully with careful cellaring. With a deep garnet red color, this wine has sweet black cherry and youngberry aromas intertwined with a hint of tobacco and spicy vanilla oak. Juicy fruit lingers on the long finish and aftertaste.

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Enthusiast: A nose of dark chocolate, cherry and spice leads on this elegant Cabernet from quality producer Simonsig. Poised waves of red fruit and spice are balanced by medium-bodied tannins and minerals. The finish is clean and pronounced. A good wine for fans of more restrained reds. (May 2008)
