Simonassi Malbec Malbec

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

On the nose black tea supersedes the dark berry notes lending a fascinating twist on the traditional herbal undertones of the varietal. Medium-bodied the exotic tea flavors follow through on the palate backed up by firm tannic structure and a hearty dose of black cherry currant and mocha. While it’s an excellent match for many red meat dishes the spicy herbal notes make me crave an Asian-inspired meat dish such as Chinese beef and green peppers. Limited edition — make sure you pick one up while they last!

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
