Dark rum raisiny nose, with a thick sort of intense palate, lots of dark fruit, like blackberry jam without the sweetness. Seems a bit hot and unbalanced to me, but I like some of the fruits and oakiness here.
A lot of great depth and promiscuity here, what with the mixture of chocolate, ripe blueberries, and some light spicy oak. Sexy!
This is a sexy one...great ripe blueberries, racy oak and deep chocolatey tones. Dusty on the nose but full and complex on the palette. Would be great with some strong cheeses and dried fruit.

Elegantly styled, with just enough rich wild berry and blackberry fruit to hold your interest, though, curiously, the berry fruit tips into Zinfandel territory, which isnrsquo;t a bad thing mdash; just different. Drink now.
Dense and tannic, with lots of blackcurrant and cherry flavors and elaborate oak. Acids and tannins help it to achieve a certain complexity. Notable for its smooth structure. Itrsquo;s best consumed soon, with a good steak.
Young, tight and tannic, but the core of currant, herb, tea and leather slowly comes to the fore, and itrsquo;s nicely balanced. Cellar this a couple years for optimum drinking. Best after 2000.
Soft and polished in cherries, blackberries, cola, tea and oak flavors, this Cab finishes dry. Itrsquo;s got a good, crunchy bite of tannins to work against a grilled steak or chop.

A pleasing deep red color with a ruby cast, Simi 2007 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with enticing aromas of red cherry, blackberry, licorice, toasty oak, fresh herbs and baking spices. The generous palate offers cherry, blackberry fruit, vanilla, a hint of caramel and a dark, roasted finish.
