Very sweet and assertive on the nose, but the integrated spice notes meld well with green and smoked peppers. Lot’s of emergent red cassis notes. Smells pretty fresh and well balanced. Medium bodied, a bit too much drying tannin right up front and a touch lean on the mid-palate but with nice freshness, and a good balance of fruit, earth, and wood spice notes. Refreshing acidity and decent length but the finale is a bit bitter. This ends up feeling a bit too extracted and comes off a touch clumsy in the end. 85pts
Very pretty ruby color. Oaky, minty nose with some blackberry. Initial palate sensation is fruity, almost sweet. Again blackberry flavors, followed by some "woody" things. Tannins sneak up in there, but not terribly distracting. Medium-length, pleasant finish.

I drank a bit of this wine after the bottle had been opened the previous day, then re-corked until we consumed it. I really enjoyed a lot about this wine. It had a great nose with aromas of raisin and spice. On the palette, there was a perfect amount of dryness to it. Not enough to make the drinker feel uncomfortable, but enough to leave a pleasant satisfaction in the mouth. The flavor profile includes cherry and mocha. I'd love to try more of this wine on another occasion where the bottle hasn't been opened for so long.
dried dark fruit, slight oak and a touch of licorice on the nose...definitely taste the oak on the midpalate with a big plum on the finish...medium bodied..for $21.99, very good effort...
We shared a bottle - excellent taste decantered. We both have the worst headache this morning! For the price of this wine, and the headache that followed, I am grateful we only purchased 1 bottle. Normally we love Alexander Valley cabernets!

Produced in the rich and complex Bordeaux style, this wine exhibits aromas and flavors of cherry, cedar and black currant, with a long fruit finish.
