User Reviews for Simi Sauvignon Blanc
Add your reviewDecent sauvignon blanc, especially for the price. Nice citrus flavors, green apple but not the over the top grapefruit. Decent balance and nice acidity. Good summer time deck wine.
Quite pale color. Herbal, grassy nose. Fortunately, that herbalness and grassiness is very much diminished in the mouth. Very pleasant lime tartness on the palate--not quite as tart as most NZ SBs, but significant presence. Back label indicates grapes are sourced from Alexander, Knight's and Russian River Valleys. US$9.99 at Total Wine last Feb.
Sharp green apple and fennel; good acidity. Excellent example of what I love about Sonoma Sauv Blancs and at a great value.
Grass and a touch of melon on the nose, grass and lemon on the palate, medium body and acidity, medium finish. Not much fruit at all. A standard Sauvignon Blanc, not bad but not great, either. I'm not a big S. Blanc fan, by the way.
Nose of citrus and tropical fruit that continued to open up long after the bottle was uncorked. Light to medium mouth bodied with a silky mouthfeel. Tastes of banana and grapefruit stand out with a background of citrus flavor. Very dry but balanced in acidity making it very refreshing by it self and wonderfully paired with a pasta dish.

Well-structured wine of elegance and richness; complex with a delicate citrus start followed by spice, ending with a silky acidic finish.
Medium straw. Medium-bodied. Balanced acidity. Moderately extracted. White peach, apples. Reserved, perfumed aromas reveal orchard fruit flavors, with some alcohol warmth and dryness coming through on the finish.
Characteristic of the Sauvignon Blanc grape, the rich fruit of this wine is balanced by a subtle hint of grass, creating a fine crispness with a satisfying finish.
Winemaker's Notes:
This brilliantly clear, light straw-colored wine smells of pineapple, passion fruit, guava and grapefruit, with a hint of minerality. The palate offers generous nectarine and grapefruit with some flinty notes and a clean, refreshing finish. Simi Sauvignon Blanc pairs wonderfully well with gazpacho, raw oysters, and beet, orange and goat cheese salad.
