Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine ReviewRated 89 GOOD VALUEHere is a well-crafted, middleweight version of Sauvignon Blanc whose sweet lemon and fig fruit gets a nice lift in richness from carefully placed oak. It downplays the grape's grassier aspects while showing a nice bit of vanilla, and its altogether exemplary balance and its continuous, juicy fruit flavors win it enthusiastic endorsement and an extra nod for fine value.Wine Tasting NotesSimi Sauvignon Blanc is everything a wine made from this grape should be - filled with lively acidity and crisp, clean fruit flavors. A small amount of Smillon is blended in to help develop richness on the palate. Bright, light straw with a slight green cast. Fig, grapefruit and honeydew melon notes with light hints of mineral. Zesty lemon and lime with touches of melon and a clean, light mineral finish.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine ReviewRated 86 GOOD VALUENicely fruited, quite direct aromas of kiwi and melons are followed on the palate by youthfully energetic flavors that are reasonably varietal as well, even if avoiding the grassy end of the Sauvignon Blanc spectrum. A fair bit of acidity cleanses the finish and makes this one a good choice for straightforwardly prepared fish and chicken dishes over the next six to twelve monthsWine Tasting NotesThe wine is crisp and clean with bright grapefruit notes balanced by tropical fruit and a hint of herbaceousness. The nose is filled with aromas of green apple, kiwi, lime, and peach highlighted by notes of green bell pepper. The mouth is very juicy, full of tropical and citrus flavors.
