Simi Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Really nice easy drinking cab. Lots of berry flavors. This is not a big cab which will knock your socks off, but nice to sit and enjoy on the deck or reading a book in bed.

Very young and soft on the nose, let it rest for about 45 more minutes and it opened up a bit. Still a bit achey and lacks the supple notes that i look for out of a California Cab. This is high end choice for by the glass pours in alot of "upscale" suburban restaurants in my city and frankly the wine itself is reflective. Not that good but not too bad either. On another note i bought the bottle for 18 at my local big house wine retailer and have seen it priced from 12 to 16 a glass at restaurants, score!

Got a whiff of cotton candy on the nose. Lots of ripe well balanced fruit dominated by black cherries and a syrupy finish.
